EPA Kicks Off Fourth-Annual ENERGY STAR National Building Competition

Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR program launched the 2013 ENERGY STAR National Building Competition: Battle of the Buildings. Teams from more than 3,000 buildings around the country are competing to see which one can reduce its energy use the most. In support of President Obama’s Climate Action Plan, the competition calls for buildings to cut waste and become at least 20 percent more energy efficient by 2020.
