Technical and economic feasibility study of using Micro CHP in the different climate zones of Iran

Micro CHP have been introduced around Iran recently, and expected to diffuse more and more.In this paper, technical and economic studies for the use of Micro CHP in the different climate zones of Iran are executed. These zones are categorized in to five; Tehran, Rasht, Bandar Abbas, Ardebil and Yazd, based on weather conditions. Later on using an economic model, both annual energy savings and percentage of system…br Highlights: ► Developed a model for the use of Micro CHP systems in different climatic zones of Iran. ► Calculation of annual energy consumes in 25 houses based on thermal load factors. ► Calculation of energy savings, profitability and emission reduction in each zone. ► The profitability index rises when gas price decrease and electricity price increase. ► Increasing the area and also time for heating are lead to increase profitability index.
